September 28, 2001 - The 2005 Board has been relaunched. The link here has been updated.
Storm06 at the All Spark has given fans a few hints at the 2002 Transformers line. He says, "Designs will be very detailed and different than anything seen before. 'Transtech' designs give a couple of general hints. Autobots versus Decepticons. Time and Space....", that it will appear in "Spring '02", and that "it is almost certain re-issues of 'G1' figures will happen at some point. Exactly how and when are undecided." TFextreme.com reports that YTV has moved RID back to 7:30 am on Saturdays, and that they will be airing the episodes that Fox Kids has skipped over.
Transfandom.com reports that the voice actor for Omega Prime has been decided. He is Daniel Riordan, who is also doing the voice of Megatron in the series.
Ben Yee mentioned in his review of RID Megatron that the RID name for Devil Gigatron will actually be Galvatron, not Gigatron as previously stated. No other confirmation on this as of yet.

September 22, 2001 - ADC has provided a pic of Heavy Load. They also report that God Ginrai is now showing up on toy shelves in Japan and that Scourge is set to hit toy shelves in November 2001.

September 16, 2001 - Ben Yee of BWTF.com is selling a MOC Fuzor Silverbolt signed by Scott McNeil on Yahoo! Auctions. The proceeds will go to the Red Cross relief efforts. Also, SuperDeFormers is selling T-shirts, also with the proceeds going to the relief efforts.
Transfandom.com reports that Rodimus Prime will be Takara's next G1 re-release.

September 14, 2001 - According to NetworkGuy over at the 2005 Boards, Episode 6 of RiD had been temporarily pulled in light of recent events. The episode depicts buildings being toppled and references to terrorism, something kids are getting more than enough of these days.

September 13, 2001 - Yes, some R.I.D. episodes have been missed due to the news coverage. However, these episodes will be re-aired. Ben Yee reports that Fox Kids will re-air the episodes when it is deemed appropriate. I join with many Transfans is asking for patience, as recents events do take precedence. There will be time for cartoons later.
In other news, BigBadToyStore has managed to score an exclusive limited run of Battle Unicorn and is now accepting pre-orders.

September 11, 2001 - As I'm sure you've heard, four commercial airlines were hijacked. Two were dilberately crashed into the World Trade Center, another into the Pentagon. Please offer your prayers for the victims and their families, and be prepared to give blood if the call goes out.

September 10, 2001 - Some sad news from Radio Free Cybertron, the father of host Brian Kilby has died. Please keep him in your thought and prayers.

September 5, 2001 - Just to let you know, Ben Yee has stated on his home page that bandwidth theft, specifically the use of his pics on message boards, is costing him and he may be forced to shut down if it continues. If you are using pics off of his site, please stop. Please do not help shut down what is arguably the best Transformers site on the internet.

August 19, 2001 - ADC and Transfandom.com report that Takara's PVC Act 5 has been revealed. The figures are Overlord, Devastator, Omega Supreme, Go Shooter, Ginrai, MetalHawk and Minerva, and the large chase figure is Black Zarak. A pic of the concept art of this act can be found here.
The latest Takara G1 releases, Inferno and Grapple, have hit store shelves in Japan, ADC reports.

August 14, 2001 - NetworkGuy (formerly known as TVGuy) has stated that RiD's weekday afternoon timeslot has been moved to 2:30pm.

August 8, 2001 - TVGuy (via the 2005 Board at Transfandom.com) has announced the timeslot Robots In Disguise will occupy: 8 am on Saturdays and 2 pm on weekdays.

August 4, 2001 - For those of you who missed it, Fox Kids has begun airing promos for the upcoming Transformers: Robots in Disguise cartoon, and one of them features the classic transformation sound from Generation One! The premier date has been announced: September 8. Mark your calendars!

July 29, 2001 - Well, I'm back from vacation, and a lot has happened since last I had access to my computer. Here we go:
BotCon took place July 14-15. The convention exclusives were Transmetal Tigatron (a repaint of Takara's Jaguar), and Arcee (a repaint of TM2 Blackarachnia).
Ben Yee and ADC both report that the blue TM2 Megatron that has appeared at various sites online will be released as a Target exclusive. ADC reports that the toy will be called "Cryotek".

July 11, 2001 - Looks like the merger trend has hit Transformers related sites. The Matrix Online Magazine, TFW2005 and Transformers News have pooled their resources and launched a new site: Transfandom.com! The new site bills itself as "the newest premier source for Transformer related information, news, and discussion." Be sure to update your bookmarks.

July 5 2001 - American Dream Comics reports that re-releases of Sideswipe and Red Alert have begun appearing in Japan.
KBKids.com is now selling RiD toys, including Megatron and the basic 2-packs.

July 4 2001 - Ben Yee has posted his Robots in Disguise section, which includes reviews of Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, and the "Spychangers". Also the combined form of Prime and Magnus has been revealed: Omega Prime!

June 28 2001 - Transformers: Robots In Disguise toys are beginning to pop up on eBay.

June 25 2001 - We are back! Due to circumstances involving a chance in employment status and problems with my home computer and the software I use to maintain this site, I could not access this place since April 20. But after a bit of work, we are back in business!
Some interesting news items from the Land of the Rising Sun:
1) Takara will release a set of superdeformed transforming figures in September. Versions of Optimus Prime, Hot Rod, and Ultra Magnus are slated for release.
2) There are plans to rerelease God Ginrai (Power Master Optimus Prime with a "God Bomber" component) in October. ImageAnime has pre-orders for $120 U.S.
